Sunny Saturday

Not a good night we were reading till 2am, so rather tardy getting up. The wind was blowing so I decided to bring the laundry forward to today and tomorrow, the forecast for Monday is dire. So a line full of whites out dancing in the wind, will finish them off on the airer over night.

I decided to be a good housewife and make DB some mincepies, 12 and a turnover cooling. I do not make too many at a time, they disappear too quickly if I do.

  1. Ha Ha!! We are good to our other halves!! Mine is Diabetic (and don't we know it, but that is another story!!) so I have made him a sugar-free apple crumble to take to No.1 son's for Christmas dinner!! VERY wet and windy here, had a lovely wander round town, a good laugh and lunch out with No.2 son though. A bit of sewing left to do and that's it!! I love your Christmas quilt, beautiful. I have a Christmas wall hanging under construction, that is taking so long it WILL be an heirloom!!!!

  2. Cheers for making the most of getting the laundry dried by wind power! You'll be glad this task is finished ahead of schedule.

I imagine your home smells lovely from the baking again. I have yet to do any baking but hope to tomorrow.

After keeping my nose to the grindstone, the little wall quilt was finished last night with the binding on, hand stitched, and even the label on. This morning I decided to add hanging sleeves (in two sections) so was up early to do that and by 10:30a was en route to the post office (no crowds!) so 3 parcels are in route with Christmas eve as their delivery date. DS1 will make a rod hanger to go thru the hanging sleeves from a 5 gal. paint stirrer and a saw-tooth picture hanger in the middle.

A computer "update" yesterday derailed my computer until DS2 resurrected it after much frustration. It's still not right, but at least I can play on it as I choose to.

    Hugs!
